The Phillips Plays

The Phillips Plays is a drop-in family program focused on the creative processes of artists represented in The Phillips Collection’s permanent collection. In October, children and caregivers will examine an artwork from the collection and make art using related techniques and materials.

The program also includes opportunities to explore art materials and methods in the studio, join a kid-friendly tour, or spend time in a carpeted creative-play area with blocks, books, toys, and games.

When: October 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Showtimes: Kid-friendly tours are offered at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Format: In-person, drop-in family program.

Tickets: Price not available. Admission to the program is included with the cost of general admission to the museum.

Reservations: Advance reservations for general admission are encouraged. Members receive free general admission and do not need to reserve in advance.

Ages: Suitable for children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Venue: The Phillips Collection.

Program: Participants will investigate an artwork from the permanent collection and take part in an artmaking activity inspired by the artist’s techniques and materials.
