Korean-born saxophonist Pureum Jin leads The Empress, a New York-based jazz ensemble featuring four female saxophonists. The group performs jazz standards alongside selections from its debut album, *Square One*, in a 60-minute set presented as part of the DC Jazz Festival.
The ensemble is joined by pianist Allyn Johnson, bassist Amy Shook, and drummer Billy Williams.
