David Pedraza, a Mexican violist of international acclaim, joins pianist Annya Nizhegorodsteva for an evening of classical music at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C. The program explores the viola’s expressive range and emotional depth through works by celebrated composers, offering both seasoned concertgoers and newcomers a chance to experience the instrument in a historic setting. Pedraza’s career spans performances from Mexico to Uruguay, Switzerland to the Bahamas; he has served as Principal Viola with the Symphony of the Americas and is a member of the Con Brio Quartet.

Artist: David Pedraza – violist; holds a Professional Performance Certificate from Lynn University Conservatory of Music, won First Prize with the Vitali String Quartet at the 2004 MTNA Virginia chamber music competition, and received honorific mentions in 2005 and 2007 from the MTNA Viola competition in Florida. He performed the Bartok Viola Concerto with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la UAT.
