Dimensional Fabrication for DIY Sock Puppets
Dimensional Fabrication for DIY Sock Puppets is a hands-on workshop preparing participants for Henson Week. Presented with Soft Souls Foundry @ Sandbox and the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities, the session introduces digital fabrication methods for creating and enhancing DIY sock puppets.
Participants can learn to model 3D ears, eyes, and other puppet attachments; digitally knit clothing and decorations; and create augmented-reality stickers that extend their puppets into the digital world. No prior experience is required, and everyone is welcome. The workshop is part of NextNOW Fest, The Clarice’s annual festival of innovative performances and arts experiences, which is open to the general public.
