Discord Theory

Discord Theory is an alternative rock band led by Ecuadorian vocalist Luis Giler. Drawing from emo, pop-punk, and post-hardcore, the group pairs emotionally direct songwriting and introspective lyrics with dynamic arrangements, memorable hooks, and high-energy songs designed for audience singalongs.

The band’s 2023 album, *Eight Ways From Dire Straits*, was produced by Lee Dyess, known for his work with Mayday Parade and From First to Last. Discord Theory has performed alongside Bayside, Hail The Sun, Geese, Aaron Gillespie, Sincere Engineer, Kurt Travis, Strawberry Girls, Andrés, Zeta, and Skillet, and has appeared at Gasparilla Music Festival and Treefort Music Fest. The group has also recently supported Keep Flying and Felicity on select dates and opened for The Supervillains at Jannus Live.

Discord Theory is continuing work on new material, including the forthcoming single “Get A ‘Real’ Job,” mixed and mastered by Alan Day of Four Year Strong. The song continues the band’s focus on turning personal experiences and outside expectations into loud, hook-driven music.
