Baby Bugs

Baby Bugs, the alternative music project founded by Bowie, performs with Elliot Lee at Jammin Java. The show is part of the Jammin Java/Union Stage Presents 25th anniversary concert series, celebrating the venue partnership’s 25 years with commemorative merchandise available through the anniversary gift shop.

Bowie grew up playing bluegrass guitar and singing church hymns, but later wrote about the effects of religious trauma and emotional abuse through songs and poetry. After releasing Baby Bugs’ first song, “Hey Bunny,” in 2021 at age 18, Bowie continued creating music after the track surpassed two million streams in its first 60 days. The project’s music is intended to help listeners who have experienced similar hardships feel less alone.
