Circle Jerks

Circle Jerks, the seminal punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1979, bring their ferocious and relentless sound to the 9:30 Club on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The band emerged from the LA South Bay punk scene, with co-founder and vocalist Keith Morris (formerly of Black Flag) and guitarist Greg Hetson (formerly of Redd Kross, and later Bad Religion) joining with bassist Roger Rogerson and drummer Lucky Lehrer. Their music blends a potent, articulate rhythm section with earnest yet often derisive lyrics and themes, earning them a reputation as a leader of the hardcore punk pack. Over the decades, Circle Jerks have released six studio albums, including the acclaimed *Group Sex* (1980), *Wild in the Streets* (1982), *Golden Shower of Hits* (1983), *Wonderful* (1985), and *IV* (1987). The current lineup includes longtime bassist Zander Schloss (The Weirdos, Joe Strummer) and drummer Joey Castillo (The Bronx, Queens of the Stone Age, Danzig, BL’AST!, Wasted Youth).
