Music: A groove-focused blend of jazz, funk, rock, blues, and R&B
Background: Oz Noy began performing professionally at 13, playing jazz, blues, pop, and rock. At 16, he was working with leading Israeli musicians, and by 24 he had become one of Israel’s most established studio guitarists. He also served for more than two years as part of the house band on one of Israel’s highest-rated television programs. After moving to New York in 1996, he developed an influential style that challenged conventional instrumental guitar music. His previous collaborators have included drummers Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Dave Weckl, as well as bassists Will Lee, James Genus, and Reggie Washington.
