James Ivy
James Ivy is the project of New Jersey-born, New York-based singer-songwriter and producer James Butler. His debut album, *The Seams*, examines stagnation, creative identity, and the tension between immediate artistic output and a more patient creative process. The album moves away from Butler’s earlier digitally polished sound in favor of acoustic-guitar foundations, live drums, strings, guitars, and an old DX7 synthesizer, creating a deliberately raw and vulnerable presentation.
Butler began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2015 and later developed his singer-songwriter work through the EPs *Good Grief* and *Everything Perfect*. He has supported Keshi, Porter Robinson, and Anamanaguchi on North American tours, headlined a 2023 tour, and earned coverage from outlets including Pitchfork, NYLON, FLOOD, Triple J, and MTV News. He has also produced for THE BLSSM, Roy Blair, Porter Robinson, and Wavedash, and released the collaborative project *American Road In New Jersey* with Roy Blair in January 2026.
The bill also features Harry Teardrop, the solo project of New York City creative Harrison Li. His self-produced music combines emo and shoegaze guitar textures with rap-influenced drums and electronic production. His DIY practice includes directing his own music videos and visuals, and his debut 13-track album, *Inbetween Webs*, explores the experience of finding oneself between social circles, genres, and expectations.
