AJJ

1811 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC
Price not available
Featuring: AJJ, Greet Death

Since forming in 2004 around Sean Bonnette and Ben Gallaty, AJJ has built a career pairing apocalyptic, doom-laden storytelling with earnest punk-folk energy. The group’s current lineup adds guitarist and keyboardist Preston Bryant, cellist Mark Glick, and relatively newer drummer Kevin Higuchi. The band has long written songs that wrestle with dark themes, and their January 2020 self-released record, Good Luck Everybody, seemed eerily prescient as the world soon followed. Their 2023 eighth studio album, Disposable Everything—their debut for Hopeless Records—carries that same sense of looming collapse, though with a persistent thread of hope woven through it. For this Black Cat show, AJJ is joined by GREET DEATH, with doors opening at 7:30 PM.

When: Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Doors: 7:30 PM.
Lineup: AJJ, with opening support from GREET DEATH.
Venue: Black Cat in Washington, DC, located three blocks from the U Street/Cardozo Metro Station.
Tickets: Price not available; check the venue for ticketing details.
Note: AJJ’s Disposable Everything is the band’s eighth studio album and first release on Hopeless Records.
