Small Press Expo

Small Press Expo is a major celebration of independent comics, cartooning, graphic novels, and art prints. For more than 30 years, the expo has brought small and independent presses to the Washington, D.C., area. The 2026 edition features more than 500 creators and over 50 publishers, with opportunities to browse and purchase comics, graphic novels, and prints.

The two-day program includes 22 panels and 18 workshops. Featured special guests are Derf, Jared Collum, Lisa Hanawalt, Paul Rainey, Fred Nolan, Peter Bagge, Julia Wertz, and Kim Deitch.

When: Saturday, September 12, 2026, and Sunday, September 13, 2026

Showtimes: Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m.

Tickets: $20 for Saturday, $15 for Sunday, or $30 for both days. Tickets are available at the door and through the event’s online ticket link.
