Crochet 101: Granny Square Shoulder Bag

Crochet 101: Granny Square Shoulder Bag is a beginner-friendly, two-part workshop at Rhizome DC. Participants will learn to crochet granny squares in one or multiple colors and turn them into a practical shoulder bag. The class is designed for people who are still learning crochet, and all materials are provided.

The first session covers making granny squares and begins the bag. The second session offers troubleshooting for granny-square projects and teaches participants how to assemble the squares into the finished tote bag.

When: Sunday, August 2, 2026, and Sunday, September 6, 2026

Showtimes: 11:00 AM–12:30 PM on both dates

Tickets: Pay what you like; $20 recommended
