Trio da Paz - Brazilian Jazz Series
Trio da Paz brings more than three decades of Brazilian jazz to Blues Alley as part of the venue’s Brazilian Jazz Series. Formed in 1986, the group carries forward the tradition of modern Brazilian music through the interplay of guitarist Romero Lubambo, bassist Nilson Matta, and drummer Duduka Da Fonseca.
The trio has been recognized with a nomination at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Latin Jazz Album. The page characterizes the group’s music as a compelling continuation of Brazilian jazz’s legacy and describes the performance as an “instant masterpiece.”
