Bach Cantata Series: UMD Choral Activities

The Bach Cantata Series continues UMD Choral Activities’ long-term effort to perform all of Johann Sebastian Bach’s more than 200 cantatas. This short performance will be led by a conductor from UMD’s graduate program, with the specific cantata to be announced closer to the performance.

UMD’s choral program, led by choral-conducting alumnus Jason Max Ferdinand, D.M.A. ’15, is internationally regarded for presenting choral music from a wide range of styles and eras. The UMD Concert Choir has also collaborated with the National Symphony Orchestra and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Music Center at Strathmore and Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
