Imbued

Andrea Fort’s *Imbued* is an exhibition about the sensation of life as expressed through paint and the way that sensation can endure across time and space. Fort’s work emphasizes energetic brushwork, collisions of forms and shapes, textured surfaces, vivid color, and spontaneous gesture. The presentation includes *Fleeting Life*.

Fort draws inspiration from the rebelliousness of the Fauvist movement, the intensity of the Expressionists, and the colors shaped by her Peruvian and European heritage. Raised in a mixed Peruvian and European household, including both inherited and adopted cultural influences, she searches for the hues, marks, and visual rhythms that reflect her own vitality and the world around her. Her paintings balance calm and agitation while honoring living, organic forms and deeply felt emotion.
