Marcel Penzes
Marcel Penzes brings a joyful, communal take on New Orleans jazz to the Kennedy Center’s River Pavilion at The REACH. The trombonist and composer explores jazz as a collective expression of life, performing music that travels from the second-line tradition to the concert hall.
The program draws from the songbooks of Louis Armstrong, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and other New Orleans jazz artists.
