October in the Galleries with Open Studios

Artists & Makers Studios presents a month-long fall exhibition featuring Lori Niland Rounds’ “Reimagined,” a mini-solo exhibition by Richard Svec, and new work by resident artists and the 19 members of Gallery 209. The program also includes sculptural work by Francis Maduka Uduh in Studio 11 and artwork throughout the Lounge Gallery and Gallery Hall.

“Reimagined” reflects a period of change in Rounds’ artistic practice. After an unexpected challenge made her familiar methods more difficult, she explored new approaches, materials, gestures, and possibilities. Visitors can meet the artists during scheduled events, view the exhibitions during gallery hours, and purchase handmade work while supporting local artists, makers, and creative professionals. Light refreshments will be provided during the monthly programming through sponsorship from The Chesapeake Framing Company.

Meet the Artists: Saturday, October 10, and Saturday, October 24, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
