ALL IN: Women in Sports at The Wharf is the third annual waterfront celebration honoring and highlighting contemporary female athletes. This family-friendly event brings inspiration, excitement, and hands-on activities to The Wharf, including a chance to test your tennis serve and watch the US Open Women’s Final on a large outdoor screen.

The celebration takes place across Transit Pier and District Pier, with additional visitor amenities and transportation options available throughout The Wharf.

When: Saturday, September 12, 2026

Showtimes: The event runs from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Venue: The Wharf, including Transit Pier and District Pier

Tickets: Admission is free, and no registration or ticket is required.

Activities: Guests can measure the speed of their tennis serves and watch the US Open Women’s Final live on the jumbo screen at Transit Pier.

Ages: The event is family-friendly.

Parking: The Wharf has three underground garages open 24 hours a day. Visitors are encouraged to check garage capacity before arriving. Nearby alternatives include Ace Parking at L’Enfant Plaza at 420 10th Street SW, L’Enfant East Parking Garage at 840 D Street SW, and the 1100 4th Street SW Garage.

Public Transportation: From Waterfront Station, The Wharf is about a five-minute walk. Visitors arriving at L’Enfant Plaza can use The Wharf Shuttle, a free service that stops near CVS and 7th Street Park. Capital Bikeshare is another option.

Weather: If weather affects guests’ ability to participate safely, event plans may be adjusted. Weather-related updates will be shared on the event page and The Wharf’s social media channels.

Restrooms: Public bathrooms are available at the Fish Market, Transit Pier, 800 Water Street, the Oculus, and The Terrace.

Venue Rules: Chairs and coolers are not allowed. Alcohol may only be consumed inside restaurants, in restaurants’ licensed patio areas, or within the licensed event footprint on Transit Pier; outside alcohol is prohibited.

Photography: Personal cameras and video equipment are permitted, but lenses longer than six inches require media credentials. Guests may not block aisles, walkways, portals, or other guests’ views, and monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks are not permitted.
