Reclaiming & Reconnecting with Wild Foods - A Juneteenth Foraging Workshop

This workshop explores the deep connections between foraging and Black and Indigenous history in America, examining how ancestors used wild plants for food, medicine, dyes, and materials. Participants will learn to identify, work with, and honor plants such as Sassafras, Black Cherry, Pokeweed, Pawpaws, Cranesbill, Mulberries, Dandelion, Wild Garlic, Wild Lettuce, Black Walnut, Senna, and more. The discussion also covers the laws and systems that historically disconnected people from these practices. Attendees can sample herbal preparations and will receive recipes to take home.

When: Friday, June 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Showtimes: Single session starting at 12:00 PM.
Tickets: $35 per person.
