Julia Jacklin - North America Tour 2026
Julia Jacklin brings her North America Tour 2026 to Lincoln Theatre in support of *The Gem*, her fourth album. The record explores the tension between wanting love and wanting independence, along with themes of reinvention, self-trust, healing, and finding a way back to oneself.
Jacklin made the album in Melbourne at Rat Shack studios, located above the Collingwood pub that inspired its title. After years of touring and a period without label or management expectations, she worked intentionally with producer Robert Muinos and longtime collaborators Jacob Diamond on guitar, Mimi Gilbert on bass, and Jess Elwood on drums. The album grew out of an unusually extended recording process, including months of additional work after Jacklin realized the first completed version did not yet feel honest.
The songs range from the propulsive “Brand New,” about attempting to leave an old self behind, to “God Sometimes,” “If I Had the Hand of God,” “The Hardest Thing,” “Get Away from Me (I Think I’ll Love You Soon),” and the six-minute “Walk on Me.” “I Wish,” featuring siblings Elsie and Maggie Rigby of The Maes, closes the album as a lullaby to Jacklin’s younger self. The performance is expected to draw from both *The Gem* and her earlier solo albums, *Don’t Let the Kids Win*, *Crushing*, and *PRE PLEASURE*.
