Munford & Cohen

Munford & Cohen bring a groove-focused take on classic rock to Hank Dietle’s Tavern. The duo combines guitar, bass, two vocal parts, loops, delays, and programmed drums to create a layered sound that is stripped down in size but expansive in texture.

Munford has a connection to rock history as the vocalist on Strawberry Alarm Clock’s million-selling psychedelic hit “Incense and Peppermints,” originally associated with the Summer of Love. With Cohen, he performs reimagined versions of familiar songs by artists including The Rolling Stones, The Meters, and The Ronettes, along with original material and unexpected selections.
