Carlo Alfonso - Cuban Jazz Series

Carlo Alfonso’s Cuban Jazz Series performance brings together modern jazz, Afro-Cuban musical roots, Latin identity, and an individual sense of rhythm. Alfonso is a saxophonist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with Cuban and Mexican heritage. His wide-ranging musicianship includes saxophone, piano, clarinet, flute, EWI, electric bass, guitar, and other woodwinds, and his performances are described as expressive, energetic, and grounded in a distinct personal voice.

The concert also highlights music from Alfonso’s debut original album, *Jazz Who?*, a collection built around his own compositions and a contemporary, globally minded view of jazz. The performance features a five-piece ensemble.
