Nina Mandell — A Fraction of a Point: A Gymnastics Dynasty on the Line - with Robert Samuels — at Conn Ave
Nina Mandell, a sports journalist from Cleveland Heights, discusses her new book *A Fraction of a Point: A Gymnastics Dynasty on the Line*, which chronicles the 2022–2023 season of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School gymnastics team—the Ohio public school that has won the state title every year since 2004. The book dives into the mounting pressure on the team to extend their streak, the backstories of the gymnasts, the legacy of the Ganim family who have coached the team for decades, and what it means to compete for the love of the sport while balancing high school life. Mandell will be joined in conversation by Pulitzer Prize–winning author and *Washington Post* national enterprise reporter Robert Samuels, co-author of *His Name Is George Floyd*. This event is free and open to the public, with first‑come, first‑served seating.
