Guy Bouchie & Matt Kelley w/ Still Standing
Guy Bouchie and Matt Kelley join forces for an electric blues and blues-rock night at Hank Dietle’s Tavern, backed by Still Standing. The performance brings two D.C.-area blues frontmen together for a high-energy set of blues standards, original songs, roots rock, soul, and hard-driving guitar work.
Guy Bouchie is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for fiery performances that draw on Freddie King, Magic Sam, and Michael Bloomfield while adding a modern edge. His background includes work as a sideman for John “Big Poppa” Tilley, as well as leading Guy Bouchie & the Heart Fixers and the roots-rock group GXB. His repertoire ranges from slow, sultry blues to boogie-heavy rockers.
Matt Kelley leads a roots-blues band shaped by Chicago and Texas blues, 1960s and 1970s roots rock, and barroom R&B. His sets combine gritty vocals, driving rhythm-section grooves, guitar-led originals, reworked classics, and dynamic solos designed to keep the room moving.
