Takács Quartet Plays Haydn, Simon & Schubert

The internationally acclaimed Takács Quartet brings a program spanning the classical and contemporary repertoire to The Clarice. The performance pairs Haydn’s String Quartet in G Major and Schubert’s dramatic “Death and the Maiden” quartet with *Warmth from Other Suns* by Grammy-nominated composer Carlos Simon.

Founded in Budapest in 1975, the quartet has developed a global reputation for adventurous programming and collaborations with artists including bandoneón player Julien Labro, actors Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman, and former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky. The ensemble’s current members are Hyperion recording artists and Christoffersen Fellows in Residence at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and regularly tour throughout North America and internationally.

Tickets: Regular admission is $35 plus a $5 booking fee. Student and youth admission is $15.
