Gallery B Presents: Intersections | Realism and Abstraction

Gallery B presents *Intersections | Realism and Abstraction*, a group exhibition featuring Lawrence Chandler, Angela Iovino, Ariana Progri, and Ravi Raman. Their distinct approaches place realistic and abstract art in dialogue, challenging the idea that the two are opposites. The exhibition considers realism itself as a reduction or abstraction of reality, while identifying recognizable, grounded elements within abstract work.

The artists explore the spectrum between the two styles through figures and familiar subjects that dissolve into—or emerge from—abstract settings. Bold brushwork, shape, color, and texture are used not only to represent what is seen but also to communicate emotion beyond literal detail.
