The UMD Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026–27 season with a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “Eroica,” a revolutionary masterwork that redefined the symphonic form. Under the direction of music director David Neely, the program also includes Carlos Simon’s *Festive Fanfare and Overture* and Nikolai Rimsky‑Korsakov’s *Capriccio Espagnol*. The concert takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 8:00 pm in Dekelboum Concert Hall at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

Tickets: Regular $30 plus a $5 booking fee; Students and Youth $10.
