Capital City Symphony: Mysterious Landscapes
Capital City Symphony opens its season with a concert tracing vivid musical journeys through momentum, landscape, and spiritual wonder. The program begins with Doreen Carwithen’s energetic concert overture ODTAA, followed by Caroline Su, winner of the CCS Novik Competition, as soloist in Mozart’s Piano Concerto in B-flat Major, No. 15, K. 450.
The evening continues with Maria Grenfell’s shimmering orchestral depiction of the natural world, River Mountain Sky, and concludes with Alan Hovhaness’s Symphony No. 2, Mysterious Mountain, a work of radiant stillness and elevated reflection.
