Geese – Getting Killed Again Tour
Geese bring their *Getting Killed Again Tour* to The Anthem with support from Welsh-born, Brighton-based guitarist Gwenifer Raymond. Geese’s album *Getting Killed* challenges familiar rock conventions with a sharp, unconventional approach, following the band’s 2021 debut *Projector* and 2023’s *3D Country*. The album was named a top release of 2025 by outlets including *TIME*, *The New Yorker*, and *The New York Times*. In 2026, Geese also made their *Saturday Night Live* debut, appeared on *Tiny Desk*, and won the BRIT Award for International Group of the Year.
Raymond is known for intricate finger-picked guitar and for developing what she calls “Welsh Primitive,” a style that combines Mississippi blues, John Fahey-inspired Americana, Welsh folk roots, folk horror, and avant-garde textures. Her music draws on her upbringing in Cardiff, her work in punk bands, and her later exploration of blues guitar, Appalachian folk, clawhammer banjo, and American Primitive guitar. She has released *You Were Never Much of a Dancer*, *Strange Lights Over Garth Mountain*, and *Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark*, and has performed with artists including Michael Chapman, Michael Hurley, The Handsome Family, Lankum, Charlie Parr, Richard Dawson, Ryley Walker, and Squid.
