Read the Room

Read the Room is a crowd-work comedy showcase hosted by Tim D. Miller, featuring local comedians who engage directly with the audience in largely unscripted performances. The format can range from conversational exchanges that lead into prepared material to spontaneous jokes created entirely in the moment.

Miller, known for his audience engagement and improvisational stand-up, draws on experiences ranging from growing up in Waco and serving in the Army to working at the White House and raising a daughter. The show takes place in DC Improv’s lounge showroom and is designed as a distinctive, unpredictable live comedy experience.
