Haili Blassingame — They All Fall in Love at the End - with Jenn White
Haili Blassingame, a producer for NPR’s *1A* and a writer whose work has appeared in *The New York Times* and *The New Republic*, discusses her debut novel *They All Fall in Love at the End* in conversation with Jenn White, host of *1A*. The novel follows Cat St. Clair, a twenty-four-year-old Black woman in an open relationship who finds herself drawn into a forbidden love triangle with her boyfriend’s best friend and that friend’s girlfriend. Set against the backdrop of the 2024 election and campus politics, the story explores themes of nonmonogamy, creative ambition, and the search for liberation in love and art. Blassingame’s literary debut has been compared to works by Xochitl Gonzalez, Coco Mellors, Lily King, and Raven Leilani. The event is free and open to the public, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

Author: Haili Blassingame is a producer for NPR’s *1A* and has written for *The New Republic* and *The New York Times*, including a viral “Modern Love” column. She is pursuing an MFA in creative writing from American University and lives in Washington, D.C.
In Conversation With: Jenn White, host of *1A* on WAMU. White previously hosted *Reset with Jenn White* at WBEZ Chicago and has moderated numerous gubernatorial and mayoral debates.
