Pacifica Quartet with Ellen Hwangbo | Constellations Chamber Concerts

Pacifica Quartet, a multiple Grammy Award-winning chamber ensemble, brings its unified sound, intensity, and adventurous programming to Constellations Music Salon. The program begins with Mendelssohn’s A-minor Quartet, composed when he was still a teenager, followed by Ligeti’s *Métamorphoses nocturnes*, a work of shifting colors, eerie stillness, wit, and explosive energy.

After intermission, pianist and Constellations Artistic Director Ellen Hwangbo joins the quartet for Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, a Romantic chamber-music landmark filled with lyricism, drama, and momentum.
