Brandon Flowers
Brandon Flowers brings his solo music to 9:30 Club, including material from *Thrasher*, his third solo album and most personal collection of songs to date. The album draws on Flowers’ adolescence in Nephi, Utah, combining Americana, country-western, and Western influences with the new wave, post-punk, Britpop, and alternative rock that shaped his early musical life.
The songs explore family, friendships, grief, faith, memory, and Flowers’ changing understanding of home. They range from honky-tonk songs and highway rambles to reflective ballads, with stories inspired by people and places connected to his years in Utah and Las Vegas. The concert is sold out.

Music: The performance features Brandon Flowers’ solo work, including songs from *Thrasher* such as “Does It Ever Cross Your Mind,” “One Of Us,” “Miss America,” “Plans,” “Paradise,” “Red Ground,” “Tiger’s Blood,” and “An American Dream.”
Album background: Flowers developed *Thrasher* after returning to Utah and reflecting on his childhood in Nephi, his family, and the experiences that shaped him before his rise to rock stardom. The album continues themes explored on The Killers’ *Pressure Machine* while moving further into country-western and Americana songwriting.
Recording collaborators: Flowers made the album in Nashville with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. The sessions included guitarist David Rawlings, pedal-steel player Bruce Bouton, harmonica player Charlie McCoy, and other Nashville musicians whose careers span classic country, outlaw country, country crossover, and Elvis recordings.
