Imbolo Mbue — Every Story Is a Love Story - with Angie Kim — at Union Market
Imbolo Mbue presents *Every Story Is a Love Story*, a novel about grief, regret, forgiveness, and the possibility of healing after an unimaginable loss. The conversation will explore the life of Wolo, whose pregnant wife is killed in a car accident, taking with her their unborn twins, her nearly completed PhD, and the future they had planned in New Jersey. Three years later, Wolo has begun rebuilding his life when he receives a letter from Victoria, the woman responsible for the crash.
Despite warnings from his family and pastor, Wolo agrees to meet Victoria. Her remorse and compassion challenge his understanding of grief, responsibility, and forgiveness, leading him to consider whether healing can be shared with the person who caused his pain. Mbue will discuss the novel with Angie Kim.
