JASON NEWSTED & THE CHOPHOUSE BAND
Former Metallica bassist and six-time Grammy winner Jason Newsted brings his Chophouse Band to the Birchmere for a headlining show that marks the group’s first-ever North American tour. The band plays a gritty blend of outsider Americana rooted in bluegrass, folk, soul, rock, and heavy metal, mixing original material with covers of their heroes. Newsted describes the set as ranging from acoustic-based tunes to “heavy” moments, promising a wide-ranging performance that showcases his most intimate songwriting yet.
