401 F Street Northwest, Washington, DC
Price not available

Brick City is an exhibition of detailed cityscapes and architectural landmarks recreated from LEGO® bricks by U.K.-based artist Warren Elsmore. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey across all seven continents, featuring scenes ranging from Cartagena, Colombia, and New Orleans during Mardi Gras to temples spanning India and Mexico, as well as castles inspired by medieval Japan and modern Las Vegas.

The exhibition also invites visitors to compare buildings from different eras and places, including the Roman Colosseum and London’s 2012 Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Its centerpiece is a 12-foot-long model of London’s St. Pancras Station, constructed from more than 180,000 standard LEGO® bricks. An interactive area includes building stations for creating original structures and an expansive graffiti wall for making pixelated artwork with LEGO® bricks.

When: Ongoing, with a temporary closure for an exhibition refresh. The exhibition closes to the public at the end of the day on Monday, October 19, and reopens on Friday, November 27.
