Zar the Star

Zar the Star makes her DC Improv debut with a weekend of stand-up performances. A New York City–based comedian and content creator, she brings a sharp point of view shaped by her upbringing as the child of an Afghan father, born in Tajikistan and raised in Toronto. Her comedy combines bold storytelling, spot-on impressions, and unflinching takes on socio-politics, drawing from her experiences as a refugee, a woman of color, and a chronic overthinker. With a large social media following built on viral prank calls, fearless clips, and character sketches, she delivers material that is honest, disruptive, and deeply personal.

When: Friday, November 20, 2026 and Saturday, November 21, 2026.

Showtimes: Friday at 7:30 PM and 9:45 PM; Saturday at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

Tickets: All-in price (includes service charges) is $26.50. The DC Improv does not sell tickets through any website other than dcimprov.com; third-party tickets are not accepted.
