Ken Conley: Mostly Drawings

Ken Conley, a painter and educator with over thirty years of teaching experience, presents a solo exhibition of figurative works at The Yellow Barn Gallery inside Glen Echo Park. Titled *Mostly Drawings*, the show features drawings made directly from observation, rendered in charcoal and other media. Conley, a former associate professor of visual art who was born and raised in northern Virginia, works with professional models to capture the human form in a candid, studied manner. The exhibition runs over two days in September, with an opening reception on Saturday evening featuring live jazz piano, and a Sunday afternoon gallery talk where the models themselves will discuss their experiences posing for the artist.
