Mason Choirs Concert: Celtic Voices: A Choral Journey Through Ireland and Scotland

Celtic Voices celebrates the choral traditions of Ireland and Scotland in a concert by the George Mason University Chorale and University Chamber Singers, presented in collaboration with Ars Gratia Populi. The program brings together traditional Celtic music, Irish folk melodies, and choral settings that reflect the region’s musical heritage.

The performance includes the Irish air “Wild Mountain Thyme” and the lively “Geantraí,” along with arrangements by Michael McGlynn, whose treatments of Irish folk songs and legends are recognized as modern classics of Celtic choral music. The Mason ensembles will perform under the direction of Dr. Lisa Billingham, with Ars Gratia Populi led by conductor and Mason alumnus Kevin Elam.
