ZZZZZZZZZ: Drone All Night

ZZZZZZZZZ: Drone All Night is a 12-hour overnight sound experience at Rhizome DC, designed as a continuous journey from moonrise to sunrise. The program combines gong baths, theremins, plant synthesizers, cassette loops, poetry, ambient drones, vinyl DJ sets, and other experimental sounds, creating an atmosphere where guests can nap, rest, or drift through changing soundscapes.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a mat, sleeping bag or blanket, eye mask, and plenty of water. The event raises funds for renovations to Rhizome’s new home on Alaska Avenue.

When: Friday, September 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM through Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 6:00 AM

Showtimes: Zone 1 runs from 6:00–10:00 PM; Zone 2 runs from 10:15 PM–2:00 AM; and Zone 3 runs from 2:15–6:00 AM

Tickets: The page lists overall pricing of $10–$60. Individual zone tickets cost $10–$20, while the all-night ZZZZZZZZZone Out Pass costs $30–$50.

What to bring: Guests are advised to bring a mat, sleeping bag or blanket, eye mask, and plenty of water for the overnight experience.

Late-night etiquette: Attendees are asked to keep noise levels considerate so the event does not disturb nearby neighbors.

Benefit: All proceeds support renovations for Rhizome’s new home on Alaska Avenue.
