Fighting Shadows is a two-day exhibition and artistic gathering at Studio 1469 examining how artists confront fear, doubt, oppression, and other forces associated with the human condition. Artists from across Washington, DC, present their work as an act of resistance to these “malignant shadows,” with live music featured during the Saturday program.

The participating artists and groups include TJ Buttner, Amy Seago, Trei Ramsey, Madeleine Sargent, Maurice James Jr., Mike O'Brien, Rachel Wallach, Rick Gonzalez, Salvador Rubio, Death by Narwhals, Key Han Solo, C.S. Corbin, Chris Combs, Dragon's Pitchfork, Jaswant Pakki, Syd, Wonka, Whitney Caldwell, and Britnee Scott.

When: Saturday, January 11, and Sunday, January 12

Showtimes: Saturday from 6:30–10:30pm, with live music at 8:30pm; Sunday from 12–3pm
