Workshops and Classes at Washington Printmakers Gallery: Collage, Quick Sketching & Painting

This series of workshops and classes at Washington Printmakers Gallery offers participants a chance to explore collage, quick sketching, and painting in a supportive, experimental environment. Rooted in freedom and spontaneity, the program encourages intuitive response and embraces process, imperfection, and discovery across multiple mixed-media disciplines. Led by contracted artists from the gallery’s Georgetown Art Studio, the sessions are designed for both adults and youth, with class proposals considered seasonally and workshops offered on a monthly basis. Included in the series are two specific workshops that fall within the overall date range: a collaborative collage workshop and a dedicated collage workshop with a noted artist. The series aims to help participants expand their creative possibilities by blending drawing, painting, monoprinting, and collage.

When: The series runs from December 14, 2025 through July 15, 2026, with individual workshops scheduled on specific dates within that period.

Showtimes/Workshop Schedule: The series includes multiple one-day workshops. Two confirmed workshops are: Collaborative Collage with Jan Zastrow on Tuesday, July 15, 2026, from 1:30 to 4:00 pm; and Beautiful Scraps: A Collage Workshop with Clare Winslow on Sunday, July 12, 2026 (time to be confirmed). Additional quick sketching and painting workshops are offered throughout the series; exact dates for those are listed on the gallery’s workshop calendar.

Tickets: Registration is available online via the gallery’s website or through ticketing partners. Pricing varies by workshop; for example, the Collaborative Collage workshop is $65 per participant. Other workshops may have separate fees. No overall series pass is mentioned.
