Welcome Back Ice Cream Social and Production Fair
The Film and Video Studies Welcome Back Ice Cream Social and Production Fair welcomes all George Mason University students to the start of the academic year with free ice cream, opportunities to meet fellow students, and information about creative resources on campus. The event also connects students with upcoming film projects and ways to participate in student productions, regardless of their major.
Advanced directing students will present and pitch their upcoming films. Attendees can sign up for a range of production roles, including acting, camera work, makeup, set design, producing, music, and editing. Filmmakers will use the sign-up sheets throughout the academic year when they need to find actors or crew members for their projects.

Showtime: 11 a.m.
Venue: Center for the Arts, Main Lobby, George Mason University Fairfax Campus
Admission: Free ice cream and event participation; registration is available through the event page.
Who May Attend: All George Mason University students. Students do not need to be Film and Video Studies majors.
Activities: Meet peers, learn about on-campus creative resources, hear pitches for upcoming student films, and sign up for acting and film-production opportunities.
Production Roles: Available opportunities may include acting, camera, makeup, set design, producing, music, and editing.
Note: Students interested in working on film sets are encouraged to register their interests, as filmmakers will consult the sign-up sheets throughout the academic year.
