Bloom at Good Hope: Joey Antico brings the modern jazz-meets-hip-hop project Joey Antico | Collected Sound to Silver Spring for a free, community-focused concert presented as part of the Bloom by Strathmore concert series. The band blends deep-pocket rhythm, improvisation, and rich R&B harmony into a high-energy “Jazz-Hop” sound suited for clubs, concert halls, and late-night jam sessions alike. Their set draws on reimagined classics from Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, and Michael Jackson alongside bold original compositions, with an emphasis on groove, interaction, and spontaneity that makes the show immersive, rhythm-driven, and hard to sit still through. The performance is designed to bridge generations while connecting with today’s music culture.
The concert takes place at the Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center, located on Good Hope Road halfway between the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Briggs Chaney Road. Admission is free on a pay-what-you-can basis, but RSVPs are required to manage capacity. Walkups are admitted only if space allows, and guests can RSVP online or by calling the Strathmore Ticket Office.
