Laura Veirs
Laura Veirs performs with Karl Blau at Jammin Java as part of the Jammin Java/Union Stage Presents 25th anniversary concert series. The performance celebrates the venues’ 25 years, with commemorative merchandise available through the anniversary gift shop.
The show supports Veirs’ album *Temple Songs*, her first record in four years and her first to be written, recorded, arranged, produced, and performed entirely by herself. Created in a small backyard studio during fall 2025, the album reflects a deliberately intimate, handmade approach, incorporating unedited vocals, ambient neighborhood sounds, nylon-string guitar, electric guitar, and a wabi-sabi-inspired acceptance of imperfections. Its 11 songs explore themes of doubt, family, self-determination, hope, and artistic renewal.

She played guitar, bass, drums, tambourine, and percussion, and handled the vocals, with saxophone from an undisclosed special guest as the sole outside musical contribution. Producer and mixer Philip Weinrobe provided the album’s finishing mix.
