Civic Center Park Puppet Show Presents "Rufus: A story of acceptance and inclusion"

This family-friendly puppet play introduces young children to the ideas of acceptance and inclusion through the story of Rufus, a shy dog who has lost his owner. Hungry and caught in the rain, Rufus turns to the audience for help and encounters Dr. Tooth, a walrus dentist who initially thinks Rufus looks different. Through their meeting, Dr. Tooth learns that differences are something to value and that Rufus is special because of them. The story concludes happily and includes the world of Blue Sky Puppets, along with a craft project for children.

Tickets: General admission is $5 for Rockville residents and $7 for nonresidents.

Ages: Recommended for children ages 3–10.
