Spoonful of Monkees

The Jelly Roll Mortals present *Spoonful of Monkees*, a seated tribute to two defining pop acts of the 1960s: The Lovin’ Spoonful and The Monkees. The two-hour performance is divided into two parts, with The Lovin’ Spoonful featured in the first half and The Monkees in the second, allowing audiences to enjoy one repertoire or both.

The pairing also reflects a connection between the bands: the creators of *The Monkees* television show initially considered The Lovin’ Spoonful for the starring role before casting Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork. The Jelly Roll Mortals have previously performed separate tributes to both groups and bring those programs together for this show.
