Dance Workshop: Improvisation & Creative Movement by Anniela Huidobro Castro
Anniela Huidobro Castro leads a two-hour workshop centered on improvisation, creative movement, and discovering an individual movement language. The session emphasizes exploration rather than memorizing choreography, using playful prompts to connect physical expression with imagination, personal experiences, and participants’ own creative perspectives.
The workshop begins with a physical warm-up incorporating floor work and contemporary dance techniques. Participants then work through improvisation exercises individually and in duets, drawing inspiration from music, objects, images, narratives, and personal experiences. The environment is designed to support freedom, experimentation, spontaneity, and self-expression.
