Zlatomir Fung Plays Bach Cello Suites

Zlatomir Fung performs selections from Johann Sebastian Bach’s cello suites in the intimate Gildenhorn Recital Hall. Following his Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center debut with the UMD Symphony Orchestra in Elgar’s Cello Concerto, Fung returns as a soloist known for his expressive playing, critical acclaim, and numerous honors.

Bach’s cello suites are regarded as a pinnacle of the cello repertoire, celebrated for their emotional range and sophisticated musical writing. Fung won first prize in the cello division of the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition.

Tickets: Regular admission is $35 plus a $5 booking fee. Student and youth admission is $15.
