A Legacy of Light explores the musical influence of Nadia Boulanger, the celebrated French teacher, conductor, and composer, through a choral program connecting French masterworks with modern American compositions. The concert moves from works by Claude Debussy and Lili Boulanger to music by Samuel Barber, Jake Runestad, Melissa Dunphy, and other contemporary composers, bringing together established repertoire and newer works shaped by warmth, brightness, and hope.

The program is presented by The City Choir of Washington with its Chamber Singers and Chamber Orchestra. Featured works include music inspired by light, nature, spiritual reflection, and human discovery, offering a radiant musical response to the winter season.

Getting There: The church is approximately half a block from Metro Center Station, served by the Red, Orange, Silver, and Blue Lines. From the G Street and 13th Street exit, cross to the northwest corner of the intersection and continue about half a block west to the church.

Parking: Metered street parking in Washington, DC is generally free on Sundays, subject to posted restrictions. A parking garage is located immediately beside the church at 1325 G Street.
